Clubs & Activities

We are pleased to offer several extra-curricular choices for our students this year. Below, you will find details regarding each of the clubs. Listed below is a description of the club and the various meeting times. Please be prompt when picking your student up. Dismissal is at 4:00 from Door B in the front of the school.

Lego Club

Hey second graders! Do you love building things with Legos and want to learn how to use computers to make your creations move? We will have a blast using our brains, hands, and computers to show that second graders can be engineers too!

There are three sessions of Lego Club. All meeting days are Wednesdays from dismissal - 4:00 pm. Mrs. Crossley and Ms. Estep are the club moderators.

Student Council

If you’re looking to become a better citizen and help other people, then this is the club for you. Mrs. Wallace, Mrs. DeBoer and Ms. Fraser meet with members monthly to do activities to help better our school and community. Student Council is made up of first and second grade students. Members meet on the following Wednesday afternoons from dismissal - 4:00 pm.

Unplugged Game Club

Ms. Majewski is pleased to announce the start of an after school game club for first and second grade students. The club meets on Wednesdays from dismissal time – 4:00 pm. We will be playing all different types of games to encourage creativity, turn taking, and strategizing. The children will be introduced to classic board games, card games, and role playing games—proving that not all great games require a plug!

You Can Uke!

The Uke Club, sponsored by Mrs. Gdalman and Ms. Mucha, is open to12 second grade students per session (each session will have 10 classes). The students in the club will learn how to play the soprano ukulele. Students will meet on Thursdays from dismissal time – 4:00 pm.

Willow Interactive Educational Garden Club

Get ready to make learning about gardens, flowers, vegetables and the principles of horticulture a really fun experience. Mrs. Genduso and Mrs. Zohfeld are the club moderators. The children will learn about garden FUNdamentals, and be involved in planning, planting, nurturing, and enjoying the beauty and benefits of gardening.

Second grade meetings take place on September 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11, 8.

First grade will meet on April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25.

The club meets from dismissal time - 4:00 on the scheduled Wednesday afternoons.

RAINBOW Program

The RAINBOW Program is designed to help children who are experiencing a loss or painful transition in their family. It is a chance for children to share their feelings and experiences with other children who are in similar situations.

RAINBOW meets on Mondays from 3:00-3:45 pm. The Fall 2015 schedule is:
